Today, with the changes in the fashion preferences and society\u2019s esthetic norms, the interest in buttock contouring surgery by patients and plastic surgeons has increased.<\/p>\n

The greatest desire of the patients, besides improving the contour and volume of their gluteus is to have safer procedures, which undoubtedly has been enhanced by the refinement of techniques in liposuction, management of fat grafting, as well as by lipoinyecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

It is critical that patients know that there are only two methods of buttock augmentation: lipoinjection which is the fat grafting of the same patient. And the increase in the gluteus by silicone implants. Any other substance, method or mechanism has not resulted in being safe and there are no studies showing satisfactory results.<\/p>\n

The fat is obtained by liposuction of fat deposits from different regions, such as the abdomen or the back, achieving a flat stomach by liposuction and then use that same fat to embellish the gluteus. Who is a candidate for such an increase?<\/strong>
\nAlmost anyone of legal age. What is important are the expectations of each patient, since the results are not the same in everyone. Some people bring a picture from a magazine of how they would like them, which not always can be reproduced, since each body has its own characteristics. What we do is ensure our patients that we will do everything necessary within the safety protocols for their gluteus to be as beautiful possible.<\/p>\n

Until what age is an increase the gluteoplasty possible?<\/strong>
\nThere is no specific age, but after 60 years the results are not the same as the in the 20, 30, 40 and even 50. After 60, the tissues are very flaccid and maybe not worth doing.<\/p>\n

What safe methods exist for this intervention?<\/strong>
\nThe main and only safe techniques are twofold. The gluteoplasty by lipoinyecci\u00f3n, which is a transfer of the same fat (adipose tissue) of the patient, and gluteus implants of cohesive silicone gel for those without adiposity (fatness or \u00abchichos\u00bb). No other method is safe, and serious complications can occur with the injection of substances or products other than the foregoing options.<\/p>\n

Does lipoinyecci\u00f3n apply to everyone?<\/strong>
\nFat grafting is applicable to almost everyone, but there are specific indications and is possible that in patients with excessive flaccid skin of the gluteus the best result is not obtained. As an expert, I always take into account the expectations of the patient and explain to the patient what can be obtained in their specific case. While we achieved remarkable results, plastic surgery is not magic.<\/p>\n

How long is the procedure?<\/strong>
\nThe procedure by lipoinyecci\u00f3n includes liposculpture and obtaining fat for modeling of the upper, lower and lateral zone of the gluteus. Regularly lasts from one to two hours.<\/p>\n

The recovery process, like most cosmetic procedures, takes 10 to 15 days. After this period, patients can carry out their routine activities, delaying for after one month practicing exercises, the beach or sun taking.<\/p>\n

What is called latrogenic allogenosis?<\/strong>
\nIt\u2019s a new disease that arises from the introduction to the body of foreign substances. In addition to products for the gluteus, elsewhere, as on the face, botox may be used.<\/p>\n

Is the buttock augmentation final?<\/strong>
\nUsually it remains in time, when it is a lipoinyecci\u00f3n, if the patient increases or loses weight after the procedure; likewise, the size of the gluteus can increase or decrease in size. When it\u2019s a silicone implant, it remains regardless of the weight.<\/p>\n

Do men also have a choice?<\/strong>
\nOf course, the same. More and more men come to improve their physique … including that part.<\/p>\n
